Fantic Factory Racing EMX rider Gennaro Utech narrowly missed a medal in the 125cc class, finishing fourth in the championship, just one point behind third-place finisher. After finishing fifth in Alghero, in Mantua he gained increasing confidence on the XX 125cc machine prepared with the Fantic Racing kit, posting the second fastest time in his timed qualifying group. A fourth-place finish in the first heat put him in contention for the podium, but a less-than-perfect start in race two prevented him from fully capitalizing on his opportunity. Finishing ninth in the heat, the Sicilian talent nonetheless secured a solid sixth-place finish overall.
Right behind him in the day’s standings was his teammate Bertram Thorius in seventh place. Another display of talent and character for the 15-year-old Dane, who pushed to the checkered flag to take home a seventh and sixth place in the heats. He finished eighth in the championship and confirmed his good feeling aboard his new XX 125. These are encouraging signs, therefore, for the entire Fantic team as they look ahead to the rest of the season.

Medaglia sfiorata nella 125, con il pilota Fantic Factory Racing EMX Gennaro Utech quarto di campionato, a un solo punto dal terzo classificato. Dopo il quinto posto di Alghero, a Mantova ha preso sempre più confidenza sulla XX 125 preparata con il kit Fantic Racing, facendo segnare il secondo tempo nel proprio gruppo di prove cronometrate. Il quarto posto nella prima manche lo ha messo in lotta per il podio, ma una partenza non perfetta in gara 2 non gli ha permesso di sfruttare al massimo l’occasione. Nono di manche, il talento siciliano si è assicurato comunque un buon sesto posto assoluto.
Subito alle sue spalle nella classifica di giornata, il suo compagno di squadra Bertram Thorius in settima piazza. Altra prova di talento e carattere per il 15enne danese, che ha spinto fino alla bandiera a scacchi per portare a casa un settimo e un sesto posto di manche. Chiude ottavo in campionato e conferma il buon feeling in sella alla sua nuova XX 125. Segnali incoraggianti, dunque, in vista del prosieguo di stagione per tutta la squadra Fantic.

Il lavoro continua, stiamo affinando le ultime cose con l’obiettivo di arrivare pronti alla prima dell’Europeo.”
