Albin in the timed qualifying tries to find the right lines to be able to fully understand the difficult sandy terrain of Arnhem going to score the 24th, in the qualifying heat with a good performance he manages to improve going to finish in 20th position.
In race 1 Gerhardsson manages to have a good start which sees him pass in 14th position on the first lap, Albin was keeping an excellent pace when he was the victim of a spectacular fall, fortunately without consequences for the pilot, but which conditioned him up to force him to retire.
In the second heat a not brilliant start made him lose several positions, but Albin found his rhythm managing to recover up to the twentieth final place by winning one point.
The SDMCORSE-AVIOMETAL MX TEAM returns to Italy to better prepare for the last world events and getting back on track for the home race of the Italian GP which will be held in Maggiora.
Daniele Marchese:”First time ever on the Arnhem track where the team and Albin worked very well to find the right setup for this particular Dutch sand, a shame about the first heat where Gerhardsson was doing very well after an excellent start but a fall did not allow him to conclude. In the second heat, however, he showed good things by scoring points. Let’s go back to Italy to get ready for the home GP in Maggiora.”
Campionato del Mondo MXGP Olanda Arnhem
Per la prima volta il Mondiale MXGP fa tappa sulla pista di Arnhem in Olanda, tipico tracciato del nord dal fondo sabbioso, il SDMCORSE-AVIOMETAL MX TEAM si presenta a questo appuntamento dopo la buona prestazione di Albin Gerhardsson nel suo Gp di casa della settimana scorsa.
Albin nelle prove cronometrate cerca di trovare le giuste linee per poter capire a fondo il difficile terreno sabbioso di Arnhem andando a far segnare il 24°, nella manche di qualifica con una buona prestazione riesce a migliorarsi andando a chiudere in 20° posizione.
In gara 1 Gerhardsson riesce ad avere una buona partenza che lo vede transitare in 14° posizione al primo giro, Albin stava tenendo un ottimo ritmo quando è stato vittima di una spettacolare caduta, fortunatamente senza conseguenze per il pilota, ma che lo condizionato fino a costringerlo al ritiro.
Nella seconda manche una partenza non brillante gli ha fatto perdere diverse posizioni, Albin però ha trovato il suo ritmo riuscendo a recuperare fino alla ventesima piazza finale conquistando un punto.
Il SDMCORSE-AVIOMETAL MX TEAM rientra in Italia per prepararsi al meglio agli ultimi appuntamenti mondiale e tornando in pista per la gara di casa il Gp d’Italia che si correrà a Maggiora.
Daniele Marchese:”Prima volta in assoluto sulla pista di Arnhem dove il team e Albin hanno lavorato molto bene per trovare il giusto assetto per questa particolare sabbia olandese, peccato per la prima manche dove Gerhardsson stava facendo molto bene dopo un’ottima partenza ma una caduta non gli ha permesso di concludere. Nella seconda manche ha però fatto vedere buone cose andando a punti. Torniamo in Italia per prepararci al meglio per preparare il Gp di casa a Maggiora.”
