Bertram Thorius was once again in the spotlight: getting off to a blistering start on his Fantic XX 125 fitted with a Racing kit, he took the holeshot in Race 1 and rode a near-perfect race. He dropped just one place, crossing the finish line in second place.
On the first lap of Race 2, Thorius briefly took the lead, but a particularly fiercely contested opening phase saw him slip momentarily out of the top five. With consistency and determination, he then fought his way back up to fifth place, securing the second step on the podium – the best result of his career.
His team-mate Gennaro Utech also showed he had the pace to challenge for the top positions, finishing seventh overall at the end of a weekend of ups and downs. Just outside the top 10 in the early stages of Race 1, he crashed whilst attempting to make up ground, losing further time. Thanks to a good pace, he then fought his way back up to seventh place, a result he also secured at the end of the second race.
In the championship standings, the two Fantic Factory Racing EMX riders remain in fourth and sixth place. The up-and-coming riders in the European 125cc Championship will be back on track on 15 and 16 August in Uddevalla, Sweden, for their penultimate round of the season.

“Another podium finish, and for the first time I’ve taken second place. It took me a while to find the right lines in Race 2, but all in all, it was a great weekend. I felt really good on my bike and I’m very pleased with the result. A big thank you to my team, everyone at Fantic, my family and everyone who supports me, both at the track and back home. Now we’ll keep working hard ahead of the next round in Sweden.”

Bertram Thorius ancora protagonista: partito velocissimo in sella alla sua Fantic XX 125 con kit Racing, ha conquistato l’holeshot in gara 1 e ha condotto una manche pressoché perfetta. Ha ceduto una sola posizione, tagliando il traguardo in seconda piazza.
Anche al primo giro di gara 2, Thorius si è portato brevemente al comando, ma una fase iniziale particolarmente combattuta lo ha visto scivolare momentaneamente fuori dalla top 5. Con costanza e grinta è poi risalito fino al quinto posto, conquistando così il secondo gradino del podio, il miglior risultato della sua carriera.
Anche il suo compagno di squadra Gennaro Utech ha dimostrato di avere il passo per giocarsi le posizioni di vertice, chiudendo settimo assoluto al termine di un weekend fatto di alti e bassi. Appena fuori dalla top 10 nelle fasi iniziali di gara 1, nel tentativo di recuperare è scivolato, perdendo ulteriore terreno. Grazie a un buon ritmo è poi risalito fino alla settima posizione, risultato confermato anche al termine della seconda manche.
Nella classifica di campionato, i due portacolori del Fantic Factory Racing EMX occupano sempre la quarta e la sesta posizione. Le promesse dell’Europeo 125 torneranno in pista il 15 e 16 agosto a Uddevalla in Svezia, per la loro penultima tappa stagionale.

“Un altro podio conquistato e per la prima volta sono salito sul secondo gradino. Ci ho messo un po’ a trovare le linee giuste in gara 2 ma tutto sommato, è stato un ottimo weekend. Mi sono sentito molto bene con la mia moto e sono molto soddisfatto del risultato. Un grande grazie al mio team, a tutta la Fantic, alla mia famiglia e a tutti quelli che mi supportano, in pista e da casa. Ora continuiamo a lavorare in vista della prossima tappa in Svezia“
